Port AventuraLocated on the beautiful "Gold Coast" of Spain's Costa Daurada, just near the town of Salou, Port Aventura, Universal Mediterranea or Universal Studios Spain as it is some times known occupies an expanse of over a million square meters and incorporates the Port Aventura theme park with it's five fascinating exotic lands and the thrilling Costa Caribe Caribbean themed water park!
The unique and exciting Port Aventura or Universal Mediterranea, offers 30 impressive rides, 100 daily performances of different shows, numerous shops, a wide variety of restaurants to suit all tastes and even boasts it's own beach right on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
Children even get to meet some of their favorite cartoon characters including Woody & Winnie Woodpecker! With so much to do and see, Universal Mediterranea offers all this fun and more, yet still only two hours by air from the UK!
 At the entrance to the Port Aventura theme park lies the Mediterranea area featuring a charming Spanish-style village with cobbled streets, quaint cafes, shops and restaurant - all set around a huge lake.
From here you can take a slow boat to China, land of a thousand oriental mysteries and high-speed thrills, or visit Polynesia, a South Seas fantasy with lush tropical vegetation, waterfalls and man-made beaches. For colourful fun and adventure there's the vibrant land of Mexico where fantastical creatures whisk you through the air. Here you can view the whole park from the Trono de Pacal, or explore the Mayan pyramids. In the Far West you can experience a real western adventure, but hold on to your hat - it's going to be wild! The modern dance show which takes Hispanic music and adds some stunning choreography. And the summer shows Fiestaventura, Viva México and Isla del Diamante 2: La profecía are back. Get ready for a summer packed with action and excitement. All these shows are waiting for you at PortAventura - enjoy them whenever you want!

   The fun never stops at Costa Caribe! This specially designed Caribbean-style water park with indoor and outdoor zones makes Port Aventura even better value for money and even more fun for all the family!
In this exotic setting you can cool off in the tropical waters, splash around or simply relax. There are swimming pools, a beach and plenty of places to sunbathe under the palm trees. Water slides to thrill, water rapids and if thats not enough a wave pool, are guaranteed to be great favourites and for a more gentle ride there's the popular El Rio Loco lazy river which slowly meanders in and out of the water park. The huge, glass-domed indoor area, which is open all year, features a heated pool so the fun needn't stop if the sun goes in, or if you're visiting during the cooler months. Here you can unwind in the jacuzzis or with a relaxing sauna. Younger children may never want to leave the Laguna de Woody, a specially designed wet 'n' wild interactive play area with water cannons and water bikes. It's quite easy to spend the whole day at Costa Caribe. There are full changing, shower and toilet facilities, as well as towel hire, lockers and cafes and bars selling refreshing cocktails and tasty light meals. At every pool and slide there are trained lifeguards on duty for the duration of the park's opening hours. Guests staying at the Hotel Port Aventura, Gold River Hotel, Hotel El Paso and the Hotel Costa Caribe have UNLIMITED entry to Costa Caribe included in the holiday price*. *Excludes arrivals 15 Jun - 15 Sep, where one day's entry is included to be booked via concierge on arrival at your chosen hotel. Guests staying at other hotels in Salou and La Pineda can still visit Costa Caribe by purchasing a three or seven day Universal Mediterranea pass (see below).
All visitors to the Port Aventura theme park can take advantage of the Universal Express free, queue-busting service. Simply collect a ride time from the ticket booth next to one of the selected attractions and come back to enjoy it at the time given.
Guests staying at the Port Aventura Hotel, Gold River Hotel, El Paso Hotel and Costa Caribe Hotel benefit from the Universal Express Plus Free upgrade service which gives access to the most popular attractions to minimise waiting time and offers VIP seating at some shows. And all visitors can purchase locally the Universal Express Gold Pass which allows unlimited priority access to the most popular attractions as well as to some shows. You can choose to stay in one of the many hotels surrounding the theme parks such as the Gold River Hotel, El Paso Hotel, Port Aventura Hotel or the Caribe Resort Hotel.
